1. How do I dictate?
We offer many dictation options.

• PDA, Smart Phone or any other related device

Dictations can be submitted over the phone via toll-free line that you can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or can be recorded using digital recorders, PDA or any other similar device and then uploaded on to our secured servers.

2. Will your medical transcriptionists know my specialty?
You will be assigned a team of medical transcriptionists that will have a background knowledge/prior experience in your specialty. 

3. How do you provide consistent quality?
We believe every client's requirement is unique. Our dedicated Medical Transcriptionists to your account will understand your account specifics from day one. In other words they will be working exclusively for you! This is one of our greatest strengths and this enables us to provide consistent quality!

4. How do I receive my transcriptions?
We have our own HIPPA compliant secure mechanism that puts transcribed reports automatically to your computer with your sign-in. You can then view and print your transcriptions. You will also be provided a secure ID/ Password for downloading reports. We archive transcribed files indefinitely.

5. Can you use my normals /templates?
We will be happy to incorporate any normals /templates or standardized phrases you routinely use in your dictation.

6. How do I open the transcriptions I downloaded?
The transcriptions are returned in MS Word (or in any other format of your choice). This standard file type can be opened by Microsoft Word or WordPerfect, etc.

7. What turnaround times do you offer?
Our standard maximum turnaround time is 24 hours. Usually any dictation done before 12 midnight EST will be available by next day in the morning. STAT jobs are turned around within 2-4 hours.

8. What if I dictate over the weekend?
We have transcriptionists working 7 days a week. The turnaround time also applies to weekend dictations.

9. Do you meet HIPAA requirements?
YES! We meet or exceed all of the HIPAA requirements. Our system is used by many hospitals and has processed over 60 million lines in 2006.

10. I have an EMR. Can I still benefit from using M-Scribe?
Yes, many of our clients have an EMR but still want to be able to dictate the way they feel comfortable with.  We can interface with most systems allowing your reports to be automatically pulled into the EMR or Practice Management system dramatically lowering the costs and errors of manual processes.

11. How do you charge?
We charge per line, based on the AAMT standard of a 65-character line.

12. What constitutes a line of transcription?
We count a 65-character line where a character is defined as any letter, number or symbol necessary for the final appearance and content of a document, including the space bar. To fully understand this, take a transcribed document and open it in Word 97 or greater. Go to Tools, select Word Count and note the value shown next to Characters (with spaces).

13. Do you offer discounts based on volume?
Yes. If your anticipated volume exceeds pre-defined thresholds, we offer volume discounts.

14. What payment methods are available?
Payment can be made by check or bank draft. We bill once a month.

15. What if I want to test your services?
You are most welcome; we will setup a trial account for you and you can dictate via our toll free number or a digital recorder.  The free trial will allow you to dictate up to 500 lines without any charge or obligation. 16. Are there contracts that I am locked into?
NO!  We have retained our clients by giving them the best available services and value and not by forcing them to stay with us.

17. I don’t have a digital recorder. What are my options?
You can either use our toll free call in service or ask about our limited time special offer for a free digital recorder.
